Nokuthula Shangen
Vice President / Vice Chairperson– AYSD South Africa Chapter

Nokuthula Shange is a dynamic South African leader dedicated to economic transformation, youth empowerment, and women’s advancement. She currently serves as the National Vice President and Chairperson of the African Youth for Sustainable Development (AYSD) – South Africa Chapter, a role through which she spearheads national initiatives aligned with AYSD’s continental mission.

Since joining AYSD in 2022, Nokuthula has demonstrated unwavering commitment to community development. She has mentored over 20 young individuals and led impactful grassroots initiatives — from supporting underprivileged families with groceries to assisting students with transport fees. Her passion for service is matched by her academic excellence, earning her the prestigious Allan Gray Top Achiever Award.

Nokuthula has held key leadership roles, including Chairperson of the Black Management Forum and the Democratic Alliance Student Organization. She is also a political and research enthusiast, having participated in the Young African Politician Program and the YALI Regional Leadership Centre. Her research on financial behavior among youth reflects her dedication to data-driven social solutions.

With academic grounding in Business Management and Economics, along with multiple certifications in leadership and governance, Nokuthula Shange embodies the spirit of youth-led innovation and civic responsibility that AYSD stands for. Her leadership continues to inspire transformation across South Africa and beyond.

Kamal-Deen Abdallah Ibn Chambas
Vice President / Vice Chairman – AYSD Ghana Chapter

Kamal-Deen Abdallah Ibn Chambas is a passionate youth leader, human resource strategist, and the current Vice Chairperson of the African Youth for Sustainable Development (AYSD) – Ghana Chapter. He is widely recognized for his leadership in youth empowerment, sustainable development, and student representation across Africa and Asia.

Kamal-Deen has served in several high-impact leadership roles, including President of the African Students Association at Albukhary International University, Vice President of Awqaf Africa, and President of the Ghana Youth Parliament. His dynamic leadership has seen him organize and moderate international conferences centered on education, sustainability, and Waqaf development.

An academic achiever, he is a recipient of the prestigious Albukhary Foundation Scholarship and a seven-time Dean’s List Awardee. Kamal-Deen blends academic excellence with visionary leadership to promote youth-led solutions for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through his role at AYSD, Kamal-Deen is committed to nurturing youth engagement, building cross-border collaborations, and driving impactful programs that contribute to a prosperous and sustainable future for Ghana and the continent at large.

Mr. Momoh Keifa
Vice President / Vice Chairman – AYSD Sierra Leone Chapter

Mr. Momoh Keifa is a dedicated public health advocate and passionate youth leader, currently serving as the Vice President and Chairman of the African Youth for Sustainable Development (AYSD) – Sierra Leone Chapter. Born on November 15, 1998, in Sandeyalu Village, Kailahun District, Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, Mr. Keifa embodies the spirit of service, integrity, and commitment to youth and community development.

He began his educational journey in the Republic of Guinea and later attended Methodist Primary School in Sandeyalu, successfully completing the NPSE. He furthered his studies at Methodist Secondary School in Kailahun and progressed to SSS4 in 2014.

With a strong desire to contribute to national health and development, Mr. Keifa earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health/Public Health from Njala University, Bo Campus. His academic and professional experiences have enabled him to address critical health challenges, particularly in HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and hepatitis.

He has served as a Community-Led Monitor with the Network of HIV Positives in Sierra Leone (NETHIPS), advocating for vulnerable populations and strengthening community health systems. Additionally, as National Peace Education Network Coordinator for the Children and Youths for Peace Agency (CYPA-SL), he has led youth-focused peacebuilding and conflict resolution initiatives nationwide.

Mr. Keifa is a staunch advocate for sustainable development, health equity, and inclusive youth participation. Through his role at AYSD, he remains committed to mobilizing and empowering young people to create lasting social impact and drive sustainable progress across Sierra Leone.
